Steriline was founded as an Engineering company, designing a milk can washing and sterilizing machine, hence the name of Steriline being born.
The first set of Steriline stalls were manufactured for Murray Bridge Racing Club based off a photo.
The starting stalls became a huge success with a second set made for Balaklava, South Australia, and a third set for Pakenham, Victoria in 1959.
Steriline’s first export order was made with gates sent to Singapore, followed by orders to France and Mauritius.
Steriline had made over 150 sets of starting gates, and exported to many countries around the world
Camel gates designed and sold into the Middle East
Steriline had become the largest supplier of starting gates in the world.
The company was sold and moved to Mount Barker
John Fargher became General Manager of Steriline and drove the focus of the business towards safer horse racing products
Custom moulded high-density padding was designed and implemented by Steriline to improve safety

First starting gate sent by airfreight to Dubai. The customer chose to airfreight the gate to meet their time restraints

From their experience with starting gates and after much design, research and development in collaboration with Greyhound Racing NSW, Steriline manufactured its first set of greyhound boxes. Now seen as the number one manufacturer of greyhound starting boxes, has produced over 160 sets for Australia and worldwide
Covered rail was designed and manufactured for the Al Janadriyah track in Saudi Arabia
Steriline designed and manufactured the first mobile presentation platform for the Hong Kong Jockey Club
Developed 90 degree steering for the starting gate to allow a tighter turning circle for French customer

Steriline manufactured and designed a transportable starting gate/trailer system which was compliant and certified for road transportation. A 14 stall model was debuted in Matamata, New Zealand in May 2015
