2026 Scholarship Winner Announced

John Ridley (Hong Kong Jockey Club) and John Fargher (Steriline Racing) were pleased to announce Scott Mackinnon, from the Sunshine Coast Turf Club, as the 2026 Scholarship Winner at the Awards Dinner during the 2026 ARMA Conference.

The judging board saw real potential in Scott, recognising his dedication to the horse racing industry and his drive to grow within it. Since 2008, this scholarship has sent racecourse managers to the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s world-class facilities, and past winners have consistently returned with fresh ideas for their own tracks back home. We’re looking forward to hearing about Scott’s experience firsthand, and to see what he brings back to his role as Racecourse Manager at Sunshine Coast.
