Features of Steriline Racing Running Rails
Steriline Racing's running rails flex under pressure to afford the horse and jockey every opportunity to reduce the impact from a collision.

• There are no overlap rail joints. Butt joints provide a smooth joint while still allowing for expansion and contraction with variations in temperature.
• Steriline Racing's running rails retain their straight lines over time and do not sag between posts.
• Steriline Racing's running rails are available in roll-formed Colorbond® or extruded aluminium.
• Steriline Racing's moveable running rails are simple to move and provide racetrack management with increased flexibility and the opportunity to maximise track use.
• Towable chute guides allow up to 100 metres of rail to be towed across the racetrack at a chute to direct the horses.
• Various rail on wheel options are available for rapid rail movement at crossings or in chutes.
• Hinged swinging gates are available in 1, 3, or 6 metre lengths. Alternatively, lift out panels can be used for rail openings.

Maintenance costs are extremely low and simple inspections further reduce running costs. The Steriline moveable rail system is simple and fast to install. The Fast-fix pin system enables the running rail to be moved with minimal physical exertion. The Steriline system offers racecourse management increased flexibility and the opportunity to maximise track use.

Options include all ground pins at 20mm diameter hot-dipped galvanised with pins available in 665, 860 and 1000mm lengths.

Steriline Rail Cover System
The Steriline Rail and Cover system has been designed to withstand the punishing forces that can occur during racing but with a degree of flexibility to increase the safety factor for both horse and rider.

Safe, strong, durable and low maintenance.
The running rail face has a smooth curved profile with an absence of angles and rail joints for safety. This provides a smooth unbroken aesthic line around the track. The design principles of impact absorption used in motor vehicle manufacture and roadside barrier construction have been adopted to increase the safety of the rail.

The cover sheets are positively joined by metal joining strips. Exposed sections of the running rail are protected by end blanks to minimise injury of a colliding horse.

The unique method of connecting the steel cover sheets to the aluminium rail provides for the differing expansion rates of the two materials.

The fold pattern of the cover will carry the weight of a person on the surface but will absorb impact in the event of a rider falling over the rail.

The running rail face can withstand more than double the likely force of a horse striking the rail during the normal course of racing.

The powdercoat finish and Colorbond® paint on the cover sheets has a life expectancy of up to 20 years.
