Steriline Racing was approached by Greyhound Racing New South Wales and their design engineers, to assist with research into methods of opening and closing greyhound boxes in a safer manner. Steriline Racing built one dog box prototype which was tested extensively by the New South Wales greyhound industry at Gosford in 2002.

As a result, about 40 of these highly successful greyhound boxes have been installed at major locations across New South Wales and South Australia.
