Padding
Independent research conducted by the Bridgestone Laboratory shows that Steriline Racing Starting Gate padding is at least three times more effective than that of competitor products.

Please see below a brief description of the additional safety padding that can be purchased as part of a new starting gate or as an add-on product at a later stage.
The padding has been listed in the general order of preference for most race clubs to assist you with your decision. Steriline Racing recommends you consider the additional safety padding options; as we endeavour to offer maximum protection for the jockey’s, handlers and the horses.
Division Side Rail Padding
This padding covers the side rail which runs horizontally above the division panel. This padding protects the jockey’s shoulders and body while the horse moves into the stall and in the event a horse becomes uncontrollable while in the stall. This is a popular safety padding option with most race clubs.Overhead Side Rail Padding
The overhead side rail padding is positioned above the division side rail padding at the top of the stall to protect the jockey’s head in the event a horse rears. This style of padding is popular with most race clubs as it offers extra protection for the jockey’s and handlers.Vertical Rear Padding
This padding is designed to protect the jockey’s head and shoulders in particular, should the horse rear or rush backwards from inside the stall.Vertical Front Padding
Like the vertical rear padding, the vertical front padding is designed to protect the jockey’s head and shoulders in particular. However this padding is offered to protect the jockey as the horse exits the front gates.Back Gate Cover Padding
Back gate covers protect the jockey’s feet and ankles as the horse enters the gate. These covers are also designed to reduce the level of noise in the stalls, therefore keeping the horses more at ease prior to the start of a race.Front Gate Cover Padding
These covers protect the jockeys knees, legs and feet as the horse exits the front gate. These covers reduce the level of noise in the stalls, therefore keeping the horses more at ease prior to the start of a race.Headguard Padding
This protects the horses head should it twist sideways and also acts as a sight barrier between the horses. This padding also protects the jockeys hands, wrists and forearms. This padding can reduce visibility for the starter and therefore is not as popular with some race clubs.Steriline Racing ... simply superior.
