Steriline Racing Starting Gates features;
Safety
- The starting gate includes standard safety padding of division panel rugs, head rail padding at the front and back, back gate pads on the bottom of each gate, and front gate pads on the bottom of each gate.
- All the safety padding is custom moulded for a precise fit.
- Division panel padding is made from reinforced vinyl over high resilience polyurethane on closed cell, cross linked ethylene vinyl acetate foam.
- This synthetic material can be electrically welded in the event of requiring repairs.
- An additional safety measure incorporates an independent hand release for each front gate. This allows for the opening of the individual stalls of the starting gate in the event of an emergency. This can be activated from within each stall or from the front of each gate.
- The back gates include an emergency release design for expedient opening even against the weight of a horse.
Durability
- Steriline Racing’s starting gates are manufactured from high grade steel to increase strength without adding weight.
- The entire starting gate steel structure is either galvanised or zinc coated and additionally protected with a high adhesion abrasive resistant twin pack paint or a powder coated system most usually in a white colour.
Reliability
- Self aligning front gate catch prevents gate malfunction through possible misalignment on uneven ground.
- Manual start backup is fitted to each starting gate to enable a race start in the unlikely event of a malfunction.
- Self adjusting hinges are fitted to each starting gate to compensate for any distortion induced by the track surface.
Maneuverability
- Eight independently rotating high flotation tyres are fitted to each starting gate to provide maximum maneuverability and minimise compaction.
- Manual steering is fitted to both ends of each starting gate to enable towing from either end for flexible maneuverability.
- Hydraulic steering can be fitted as an option to increase maneuverability.
- This may be included in the price of some larger gates or listed as an option.
Innovation
- The operating system is pneumatically activated from an air reservoir mounted in the end panel. The airline is stainless steel braided nylon hose. This system is recharged using any standard workshop air compressor available to the customer.
- Included on the top of the starting gate is a red flashing light to communicate starter’s intentions.
- Steriline Racing gates have the ability to be joined together to start simultaneously for large field sizes.
Dimensions
Steriline Racing starting gates can be manufactured with any number of stalls ranging from four stalls to twenty stalls in one unit. For a race field larger than twenty horses, two sets of starting gates can be connected to operate simultaneously.After sales service
